Wizz Air accepts various payment methods to make it easy for you to travel with them, including different credit card and debit card options. Here is more on the specific payment options they take.

Wizz Air Payment Options

Credit cards are one of the most popular forms of payment on Wizz Air, and they currently accept Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, Bancontact, and UATP. Wizz Air also has a co-branded credit card that you can pay with.

Unfortunately, they do not accept other cards, including American Express. You could try to pay with one, but the transaction will likely be denied.

You may also pay using a bank transfer online or in cash at the customer service desk at the airport. Wizz Air also takes county-specific payments, like iDeal (Dutch), Link (Polish), and Trustly (UK, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania).

Wizz Air travel credits and gift vouchers are also valid forms of payment that you can use, so you have options on how you can pay in the place of an American Express card.

Wizz Air Conversion

When you purchase a fare, it is quoted in either EUR or GBP. It may show up differently on your statement, making the price more or less depending on the conversion rate. If you believe you have been mischarged, you can contact customer service, but this is typically the most common resolution.

You can pay with a credit card on Wizz Air, but they do not accept American Express, so you’ll want to make sure to have another method.
